ABOUT ME

I am an American Sign Language Instructor. I have various experiences teaching American Sign Language (ASL) since 2012. In 2012, I established an ASL club, which generated a lot of college students. I then worked for Empowering Youth of Columbus (EYC) at Columbus State University through a federal grant teaching at-risk youth from third to fifth grade from 2013-2015. While working for EYC, I was offered to teach ASL through Continuing Education department, where I taught both college students and older adults. I was also an ASL Coach, where I worked with various students and their skills ranging from sign choices to grammatical improvements. I was studying to become a Marine Biologist at Columbus State University but found my love for teaching ASL. With my profound love for ASL, I transferred to Gallaudet University where I pursued a degree in American Sign Language Studies and a Minor in Linguistics. I completed my Masters in Sign Language Education (MASLED) in 2018. I now reside in DC teaching ASL courses.
